At just 22 years old, Hayden Osborne has worked at AllanMcNeill since graduating Massey University in May 2021. He’s currently studying towards his Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (he’s completed five of the eight core papers) and has been awarded a certificate of merit for his latest paper on New Zealand Taxation. This recognises him as one of the highest achieving provisional chartered accountants in New Zealand (top 10%). He hopes to be awarded his CA once he’s passed all the core papers and completed three years of work experience.

Born and bred in Palmerston North, Hayden was keen to stay local when he finished his accounting degree. He emailed his CV to the larger firms in the region and was interviewed by AllanMcNeill Palmerston North Partners, Stephen Scott and Kathleen Smyth, who offered him a job within the week. Hayden may just be our only staff member to sign a contract and attend the staff Christmas party on the same day!

Hayden says he loves the team environment at AllanMcNeill and feels like he can ask anyone for help. He enjoys the variety of clients too.

“I’m based in our Palmerston North office in Stephen Scott’s team, predominantly working with commercial clients.  Recently I’ve spent some time in our Feilding office helping Phil, Hayden, Angelina and Louise with some of their large agricultural and commercial clients.  It’s a great mix with a diverse range of businesses.”
